SAFA - Israeli settlers carried out a series of attacks across the occupied West Bank on Saturday, setting fire to a home, a mosque, and agricultural land, while assaulting Palestinian residents and stealing livestock under the protection of Israeli forces, according to local sources and Palestinian officials.

In the village of Tell, southwest of Nablus, settlers set fire to an occupied Palestinian home, causing extensive damage. Local sources said the house was inhabited at the time of the attack, although no injuries were immediately reported.

The Palestinian Civil Defense said its crews were only able to reach the scene after Israeli forces allowed firefighters to enter the area following a delay. By the time they arrived, the house had been completely destroyed by fire.

Firefighters were trying to extinguish remaining flames, prevent the fire from spreading to nearby properties and examine the site to ensure the safety of residents, the Civil Defense said in a statement.

Further south, settler groups reportedly set fire to a mosque in the village of Al-Tuwani in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron. In Jenin, settlers assaulted a young Palestinian identified as Anas Abdel Hakim Luqman while he was traveling on the Jenin–Nablus road near the entrance to Burqa village. The attack left him injured, according to local reports.

Settlers meanwhile attacked Palestinian homes in the towns of Yatta and Al-Samu in the Hebron governorate, stealing three heads of livestock as well.

Israeli occupation forces also pursued Palestinian farmers working their land in the Jabal al-Ras and Bir al-Asafir areas, south of Deir Qaddis village, west of Ramallah. 

Witnesses reported that soldiers fired live ammunition and tear gas at the farmers, triggering fires that spread across large areas of agricultural land planted with dozens of olive trees.

Local sources said Israeli occupation forces prevented Palestinian civil defense crews from reaching the area to extinguish the blaze, allowing the fire to spread further across Palestinian-owned farmland.

Deir Qaddis and surrounding villages west of Ramallah have witnessed repeated Israeli military incursions alongside escalating settler attacks targeting Palestinian residents, homes, farmland, and other property.
