SAFA- Israeli occupation forces killed an entire Palestinian family of six in a pre-dawn airstrike on central Gaza City on Tuesday, while Israeli military vehicles advanced east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, in another violation of the ceasefire that has been in effect since October 10, 2025.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its crews recovered the bodies of a mother and her four children after an Israeli strike hit a residential apartment in the al-Samer area of Gaza City.
A medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital identified the victims as Salsabeel Mohammed al-Masri, 34, and her children: Naeem Firas al-Masri, 13, Faryal, 11, Salma, 9, and Amira, 6. The source said the bodies arrived at the hospital severely burned.
Hours later, the death toll rose to six after the children's father, Firas Ahmed al-Masri, succumbed to his injuries. Medical officials said the strike wiped out the entire al-Masri family, removing them from the Palestinian civil registry.
The Gaza Civil Defense said its crews extinguished a large fire that engulfed the family's home following the Israeli airstrike.
Witnesses and local activists said the attack began with three consecutive Israeli strikes targeting the apartment near the al-Samer intersection in central Gaza City.
The bombardment triggered a massive blaze that consumed much of the building, while rescue teams continued searching the rubble amid reports that people remained trapped beneath the debris.
Separately, Israeli artillery shelled areas southeast of the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City, accompanied by heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles stationed nearby.
Health officials report that 13 Palestinians, including women, children, and the elderly, were killed in various parts of the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours as Israeli attacks persisted.
The latest killings come as Israel's genocidal war continues across Gaza despite the ceasefire agreement. More than two and a half years of war have left hundreds of thousands of Palestinians killed or wounded, devastated residential neighborhoods and civilian infrastructure, and displaced much of the population, with many families continuing to endure repeated displacement and severe shortages of essential services.
