SAFA – Israeli occupation forces violated the Gaza ceasefire early Wednesday by carrying out military incursions, artillery shelling, and heavy gunfire in eastern Gaza City and Khan Younis, while continuing large-scale demolitions along the buffer zone.
In Gaza City, Israeli tanks advanced into Al-Sikka Street, southeast of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, while other military vehicles pushed into areas east of the Dawla intersection under heavy air cover and intense gunfire.
Israeli forces shelled the area with tank rounds and sustained artillery fire while carrying out extensive demolitions of buildings and civilian facilities. A sound bomb also exploded southeast of the city.
In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli forces escalated their operations east of Khan Younis, firing illumination flares and opening heavy tank fire on the area.
The latest military activity comes amid near-daily Israeli ceasefire violations, including ground incursions, artillery shelling, gunfire, and the demolition of civilian structures, fueling fears of a broader military escalation across the Gaza Strip.
