SAFA – Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Khalil al-Hayya called on regional mediators to take urgent action to halt Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
In messages addressed to leaders in Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, al-Hayya urged immediate intervention to stop the ongoing Israeli crimes and violations and ensure the implementation of the terms previously agreed upon.
Al-Hayya said the Israeli occupation has intensified its military operations in recent days in an effort to obstruct progress toward an agreement aimed at ensuring security and stability, as well as advancing to the next phase of the ceasefire.
According to al-Hayya, the Israeli violations include the killing of Palestinians, attacks on civilians, the destruction of homes and infrastructure, and the expansion of Israeli control over additional areas.
He also cited continued restrictions on the entry of food, medicine, humanitarian aid, and materials needed to repair hospitals, municipal facilities, and other essential infrastructure.
Al-Hayya said figures included in his messages show that 1,143 Palestinians have been killed, including 409 women, children, and elderly people, while 3,616 others have been injured, including 1,789 from vulnerable groups.
He described the Israeli crimes as a challenge to the role of the guarantor states and the broader international community, calling on mediators to intensify their efforts to preserve the ceasefire, ensure its full implementation, and advance to its next phase.
