SAFA - Children have made up most of the casualties from Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip over the past week, Gaza’s Civil Defense agency said, warning that the ongoing Israeli attacks constitute a violation of ceasefire agreements and would make things worse in Gaza.

In press statements on Sunday, a civil defense spokesperson said that “the Israeli occupation’s bombings contradict its obligations under the ceasefire agreement,” noting that children were the most affected group in recent strikes.

Medical sources in Gaza hospitals reported that three children were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas across the enclave since early Sunday.

The developments come amid ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement signed in October 2025, with Israeli occupation forces continuing to carry out air raids, artillery shelling, and live fire in various parts of the Gaza Strip.

The repeated Israeli escalation has raised concerns over the safety of civilians, particularly children, as humanitarian conditions in the enclave are getting worse as Israeli genocide continues.
