SAFA- A member of Hamas's political bureau, Basem Naim, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the movement is still awaiting an official response from Nikolay Mladenov regarding what was agreed upon with the mediators about the roadmap for implementing the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.

Naim said that the movement has shown "high responsibility" in dealing with the proposals presented to it, noting its appreciation for what the mediators have said about holding the "enemy" responsible for the continuation of crimes and the deliberate obstruction of the agreement.

Hamas had previously confirmed that it and the Palestinian factions dealt positively and responsibly with the negotiation process and the mediators' proposals to complete the implementation of the second phase of the agreement.

The movement emphasized that stopping "Israel" from killing Palestinians and ending its aggressions are the fundamental prerequisites for moving to the second phase, along with establishing a clear timeline and schedule for implementing the agreed-upon understandings.

The statements came as Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar issued a joint statement condemning ongoing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, particularly attacks targeting healthcare facilities and medical infrastructure.

The three mediator countries said the violations had resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children, describing them as clear breaches of international law and international humanitarian law.

The mediators said that the continuation of these violations, despite Hamas and Palestinian factions’ acceptance of the Gaza roadmap, including the provision related to disarmament, constitutes a breach of the agreement and obstructs the implementation of its second phase.

They called on Israel to comply with its obligations under international law and fully implement its commitments under the ceasefire agreement, warning that continued violations threaten the path toward de-escalation and worsen the humanitarian suffering of civilians in Gaza.
