Hamas Reaffirms Commitment to Roadmap for Gaza Ceasefire Agreement

SAFA — Hamas has reaffirmed its commitment to the roadmap agreed upon with mediators and the "Peace Council" for implementing the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

In a press statement issued Sunday, the movement reiterated its "serious commitment to engage responsibly" in implementing the 15 agreed provisions and establishing a clear timetable for carrying them out.

Hamas said the priority at this stage is to ensure the full implementation of all phases and obligations under the agreement, leading to a complete ceasefire, an end to attacks against Palestinians, the completion of the Israeli withdrawal, the reopening of crossings, and the entry of humanitarian aid and shelter supplies.

It also called for reconstruction efforts to begin and for the National Committee to be enabled to carry out its responsibilities.

The movement urged the mediators, guarantors, and the "Peace Council" to assume their responsibilities, ensure that all parties comply with the agreed terms, and prevent any violations or breaches that could obstruct implementation or undermine the ceasefire.

Hamas reaffirmed that it would continue to engage "positively and responsibly" with efforts to implement the agreement in a manner that ends the suffering of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and safeguards their rights and national interests.

The statement comes amid ongoing efforts to consolidate the ceasefire and advance the second phase of the agreement, as Palestinians continue to call for the implementation of agreed commitments, particularly an end to attacks, the completion of the Israeli withdrawal, the reopening of crossings, and the unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid.
