SAFA_ Director-General of Gaza’s Government Media Office Ismail Al-Thawabta said the Israeli occupation continues to violate the humanitarian provisions of the ceasefire agreement, particularly those concerning the entry of aid and fuel into the Gaza Strip.

In remarks to Al-Resalah Net, Al-Thawabta said the agreement requires the daily entry of 600 aid trucks into Gaza, including 50 carrying fuel. However, he said only 64,546 trucks have entered the besieged Gaza Strip since the ceasefire took effect, compared with 182,400 trucks that should have entered under the agreement.

According to these figures, just over 35% of the agreed number of aid trucks have entered Gaza. Fuel deliveries, meanwhile, have reached only 15% of the amount stipulated in the agreement, Al-Thawabta said.

He warned that the fuel shortage is directly affecting essential services, including hospitals, water pumps, sewage networks and rescue operations.

Al-Thawabta said Israel’s restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid constitute a form of collective punishment against Palestinians in Gaza. He called on mediators to exert pressure to ensure the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement’s humanitarian provisions.

He also urged the international community and the United Nations to establish independent international monitoring committees at Gaza’s crossings to verify the actual flow of aid and ensure that the agreed quantities reach the Strip.
