SAFA- Over the past 24 hours, Israeli settlers have continued attacks on Palestinians and their property across the occupied West Bank, amid reported protection from Israeli occupation forces. The attacks have intensified alongside attempts to seize land and establish new settlement outposts.

In Bethlehem, settlers early Thursday stole more than 100 sheep and a vehicle and damaged another vehicle and a solar power system after attacking a home and farm belonging to the al-Jabareen family in the Jabal al-Qarn area of al-Minya, east of the city.

The attack came after Israeli occupation forces detained members of the family and took them to an unknown location, according to local sources.

In the Hebron area, settlers began establishing a new pastoral outpost near Khirbet al-Daqiqah, south of the governorate, while another settlement outpost was expanded near the Bedouin community of Maazi Jaba, north of Jerusalem.

In Nablus, settlers attacked the town of Qusra, southeast of the city, vandalizing property, blocking roads and surrounding a home. Settlers also tore up copies of the Quran while raiding and vandalizing a home in Beita, south of Nablus.

Settlers also entered the village of Awarta, southeast of Nablus, in their vehicles. Meanwhile, settler families moved into the al-Toubasi family’s home in the village of Jalud after it was seized and its owners expelled following a weeks-long siege.

In Hebron, settlers raided Palestinian-owned land in the village of al-Burj, south of Dura, and in Wadi Khneis, west of Sa’ir.

In Ramallah, settlers attacked the Abu Faza’a residential area east of al-Taybeh and set fire to land in the al-Sahl area belonging to al-Mazra’a al-Sharqiya, near the main road close to Sinjil.

In the northern Jordan Valley, settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, harassed Palestinian shepherds in Khirbet al-Hadidiya, while others raided Khirbet Samra and carried out provocative tours in the area.

In Qalqilya, settlers threw stones at Palestinian vehicles and young men at the entrance to Kafr Laqif, east of the city.

In Jenin, settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, entered the site of the former “Kedim” settlement near the city’s eastern neighborhood amid efforts to reestablish the settlement. They also raised Israeli flags along the bypass road north of Jenin.

The incidents come amid a sharp escalation in settler attacks across the occupied West Bank, including assaults on Palestinians and their property, the burning of homes and agricultural land, road blockades, land seizures and the establishment and expansion of settlement outposts.
