Nawal, 19, is deprived of privacy in solitary confinement

The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Committee stated on Monday that the Israeli authorities isolated the Palestinian female captive, Nawal Fatiha, in Damon cells, under difficult conditions.

“The prison administration broke into the prisoner's room, while the guards pulled her barefoot after handcuffing her and transferred her to the cells, then closed the entire section for long hours and confiscated the cooking tiles,” the Committee stated in a statement reached Safa.

The prisoners had returned breakfast to protest the punitive measures against them.

The committee indicated that the prisoner, Fatiha, is currently in solitary confinement cells, accompanied by Fadwa Hamadeh, who has been isolated for more than two months.

The two prisoners are in a narrow, dark, foul-smelling cell, which is not suitable for human life and there is a 24-hour surveillance camera that deprives them of any kind of privacy, in addition to the poor quality and quantity of food provided to them.

The prisoner Fatiha, 19, from the town of Silwan in Jerusalem district, was arrested on 21 February,2021 and is still being held until now.
