Jordan calls on Israel to stop its violations of Al-Aqsa mosque

Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates directed today a note of protest, throughout the democratic channels, demanding Israel to stop its violations and attacks against Al-Aqsa mosque, and to respect the administration of Islamic Waqf.

The Ministry condemned Israel’s violations of Al-Aqsa mosque, the most recent of which was encroaching on the prerogatives of the Islamic Waqf’s administration and deactivating the reconstruction works in the Dome of the Rock.

“Israel’s practices against the administration of Islamic Waqf are rejected and condemned in which It is the only authority responsible for Al-Aqsa mosque and its protection,” Daifallah Alfayez, spokesperson of the ministry, said.

He called on Israel to commit to the international law to perform its duties, stop its attacks, respect the current legal and historical situation, and to respect the administration of Islamic Waqf.

Alfayez finally confirmed that Al-Aqsa mosque with its 144 dunums is for the Muslims only.
