Pictures: Israel demolishes homes, attacks activists

Israeli forces yesterday continued their attacks on the citizens of Khirbet Homsa al-Fawqa in the northern Jordan Valley, as they demolished barracks and tents in the area.

The activist Salah Al-Khawaja reported to Safa that the occupation forces attacked activists and disrupted their movement in the area, following protests against the continued Israeli demolitions.

"The plan is to completely end the Palestinian presence in the area and erase all traces of a Palestinian tent or facility in the area to force the entire Bedouin population to leave," Al-Khawaja said.

"The occupation forces have dismantled tents that they had previously removed as part of an ethnic cleansing policy, as the occupation hides the effects of its crime immediately after completing the demolitions," he added.

Moreover, the occupation forces arrested the activist Muhammad Matar and declared the area a closed military zone.

It is noteworthy that Khirbet Homsa al-Fawqa is located within the lands of the town of Tamoun in the northern Jordan Valley, and it is inhabited by Bedouin refugees, some of them from the Beersheba area, and their number is estimated at about 200 citizens.
