Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission said that Israel’s military court in Be’er Sheva decided to release the Palestinian prisoner, Hussain Masalma, who’s sick with cancer, next Sunday.
The decision came after big legal efforts to release Masalama,39, regarding his critical health conditions, according to the commission.
It also mentioned that his health status will harden his transfer from the Israeli hospital into one of the Palestinian hospitals.
Masalma has been suffering for months from severe pains in the belly, but the administration of the prison did not care about his status, and delayed to transfer him to the hospital in order to diagnose and treat him. Afterwards, he was diagnosed with Leukemia as his health conditions started to become more worse the day after the other.
Masalma has been arrested since 2002, and sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment.
