The number of Palestinian refugee victims, who were reportedly deceased in Syria in 2020, reached 42, according to the monitoring team of Action Group for Palestinians of Syria. 

The team stated, "5 of them died from drowning, 4 died during an attempt to reach Greece, and a refugee died in 2008 and was recognized in 2020. Also, 17 died due to acts of war, 12 died due to torture and medical negligence, and 8 were killed due to assassination and extrajudicial killings. 

The Act Group documented the assassination of 1797 Palestinians in Syria in the branches of security and intelligence of the Syrian regime; including 110 women, and the loss of 330 ones. 

It also documented the death of 4048 victims of the Palestinian refugees in the period March 11, 2011, and December 2020, including 620 refugees who died due to torture in the Syrian regime's prisons.
