The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas expressed its appreciation of Algeria’s withdrawal from the Parliamentarian Assembly of the Mediterranean due to the participation of an Israeli representative.

Hamas Spokesperson, Hazem Qasim, said in a press release that "this move reflects the Arab popular consensus against the normalization of ties with the Israeli occupation and highlights the Algeria people’s commitment to the Palestinian cause."

It is worth mentioning that an Algerian parliamentary delegation withdrew from a meeting organized by the global parliamentary network of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development due to the participation of an Israeli delegation in the meeting.
