Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission stated that Nedal Amar, a Palestinian prisoner from Qalqilya, suffers from harsh and worrying medical conditions. 

"Nedal, who lies in Shatta prison, was not suffering from any diseases before detention. Although, his medical status deteriorated as he suffers from diabetes, blood pressure, and high blood cholesterol as a result of the harsh conditions of detention," the commission said. 

It added, "He has been suffering from liver problems since 2017 when he started an open strike."

The commission confirmed that the status of Amar needs constant, organized medicine, and noted that the prison's administration does not provide him with any kind of medicine. 

As his medical status has been deteriorating and been moved to Soroko Medical Center, doctors claimed that they arre unable to deal with him. 

Nedal Amar has been arrested since 2013, and sentenced to life imprisonment.
