Washington urges Israel not to take any steps undermining the two-state solution

The spokesperson of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Israel has to refrain from any steps that might increase tensions and make it hard to reach the (two-state solution).

This came in light of the new plans aiming to establish new settlements in the West Bank.

"Washington rejects any step the impedes the implementation of the two-state solution," he said.

He added, "he confirmed his country's readiness to sign a normalization agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia."

He clarified that his country seeks to reach a wider deal to end the war in Yemen.

Mike Pompeo, former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, stated two days ago that many Saudi Arabians encourage the normalizing of relations with Israel.
