Last February, 2122 settlers stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Israeli authorities issued 23 deportation decisions from the mosque and the Old City, according to the Al-Qastal network, which is specialized in Jerusalem affairs.
In a monthly report that monitors the violations of Israel in Jerusalem last February, the network stated that among the raiders of the mosque were police and intelligence officers, students of biblical religious institutes, employees of the Israeli government and the Antiquities Authority, and translators.
Compared to last January, the numbers of those who stormed the mosque increased threefold, as January recorded the storming of 748 settlers in Al-Aqsa.
During February, 21 Palestinians were arrested from Al-Aqsa courtyards, chapels, and gates, as part of measures to abuse them and attempt to empty the mosque, according to the report.
Besides, 134 Palestinians were detained from Jerusalem and its suburbs, including boys and children, and six women and young women, most of whom were arrested from Al-Aqsa and at its gates.
During the past month, Israeli forces demolished 15 facilities in Jerusalem and its suburbs, displacing families who had lived in them for years and left them without shelter and pursued their tents that were set up next to their demolished homes.
In the same month, Jerusalem and its suburbs recorded 36 points of contact with the Israeli forces, as a result of the repeated incursions into towns and villages, in addition to the settlers' provocations and attacks on Jerusalemites in the city.
At-Tur and Al-Issawiya recorded the highest levels in terms of frequent contact points in Jerusalem, and the youths did not stop to confront the Israeli forces by throwing stones, Molotov cocktails, and fireworks.
