Israel forces Jerusalemite to demolish his house in Silwan

The Jerusalem municipality forced the Jerusalemite Nidal Al-Salaymeh to demolish his house in the Wadi Qaddum neighborhood in Silwan town, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the pretext of building without a permit.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center quoted Al-Salaymeh as saying that the Israeli forces raided his house and informed him that the municipality crews would storm the place and carry out the demolition, forcing him to empty the house immediately and demolish it to avoid paying fines and demolition fees.

Al-Salaymeh, who suffers from cancer, had lived in his home, with five people, including three children, since 2019 and tried to license it until he was forced to demolish it.

The Israeli authorities yesterday forced Jerusalemites to demolish their commercial facilities in the Atarot industrial zone, north of Jerusalem, under the pretext of building without a permit.

Dozens of Jerusalemites are forced to forcibly demolish their homes, so that the Israeli authorities will not pay them the exorbitant demolition costs if they demolished them.
