The International Union of Muslim Scholars called for the revival of International Jerusalem Week, by doubling efforts and intensifying actions to support the Palestinian cause.

The union stressed in a statement reached Safa that defending and liberating Jerusalem from the occupiers is a legitimate duty and a national Palestinian and humanitarian imperative.

The union announced on February 22, that from 6 to 12 March will be the week of the blessed Al Aqsa and Jerusalem.

Scholars, institutions, bodies, and organizations of the Arab and Islamic nation were called to revive this week, by doubling efforts through speeches, lectures, and seminars, as well as with audio and video recordings and television programs in support of the Palestinian cause.

The cooperation of scholars, institutions, and the people of Palestine nullifies the Judaization being hatched against Jerusalem.

According to the union’s official website, this week’s announcement comes in support of the almoravids in Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and all of Palestine, on the anniversary of the liberation of the mosque and Jerusalem, on Rajab 27, 583 AH by the leader Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi.
