The Supreme Court of Israel responded to the petition filed by the Municipality of Hebron as it opposed building settlement buildings next to the Ibrahimi Mosque.

The court ratified the start of implementing the project of the elevator for the disabled settlers according to the 0404 Hebrew website.

Benny Gantz, Minister of Defense, had previously ratified establishing an elevator next to the mosque to ease the settlers' raids into the mosque.

Israeli settlers welcomed the court's decision, and tenders will be issued soon to build the elevator's extensions near the mosque.
