The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said on Monday that Palestinian women are the greatest in their sacrifices and pioneers in their effective struggle in the liberation battle against Israel.

"At the time when women celebrate their International Day, more than 45 Palestinian female prisoners are languishing in the Israeli prison," Hamas’ spokesman, Abd al-Latif al-Qanoo said.

He stressed that "Israel continued repression against Palestinian women and the arrest of Palestinian prisoners in difficult and harsh conditions are evidence of the terror of this entity, which strikes against all international laws and humanitarian norms."

On the eighth of March of every year, the world celebrates International Women's Day to remember her most prominent achievements and contributions in all fields.
