UN Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Nickolay Mladenov, arrived on Wednesday in the Gaza Strip.

Mladenov arrived in Gaza via Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing with the accompany of six.

His visit comes after a night of escalation between the resistance factions in Gaza and the Israeli army.

The Egyptian security delegation visited the Gaza Strip last week and made rounds between the Strip and Israel, where they discussed the file of an exchange deal with the Islamic Resistance Movement-Hamas.
