Sharp disagreements amounted to beatings and shootings in Tulkarm in the West Bank were accompanied by a stormy and violent debate over the attempt by the parties to nominate the former Prime Minister, Rami Hamdallah, on the list of the Fatah movement, sources told Safa.
A meeting was held at the region’s headquarters in Tulkarm the day before yesterday, in which Fatah parties tried to impose the name of Hamdallah on the movement’s list of candidates for the Tulkarm governorate. However, very important leaders refused that.
The debate between the two parties developed into beating and shooting inside the headquarters before the situation was controlled without reaching an understanding between the two parties.
Despite the debates within Fatah frameworks over the finalization of the nomination lists, what happened in Tulkarm was the most intense, noting that the Central Committee of Fatah has not yet been decided on the approved names.
