Detainees Commission: Israeli authorities delay providing medicine for a Palestinian prisoner

Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission stated on Thursday that the administration of Eichel prison delays providing the needed medicine for the Palestinian prisoner, Sharhabil Abo Thraie, 49, from Jerusalem.

Abo Thraie has several chronic diseases as he suffers from the weakening of the heart muscle, which works only with 2%, and needs an operation to set a heartbeat regulator.

He suffers from high blood pressure, water on the lungs, gout, deposits in urine and high blood cholesterol.

The commission mentioned that the jail's administration does not care about his health situations as it only gives him painkillers, and noted that his bad health situations needs an urgent operation and heartbeat regulator as fast as possible.
