Yassir Al-Badrasawi, a leader of Hamas and candidate in Al-Quds Our Destination, stated that it must not be allowed for Israel's restrictions to be an excuse to delay or cancel the elections.

He called for confronting Israel with more resistance and unit. 

He confirmed that the elections are every Palestinian's right to establish a comprehensive legitimate Palestinian system through conducting genuine elections that represent Palestine. 

He also confirmed that the elections are a right for all the Jerusalemites as it cannot be subjected to Israeli control, and nobody has the right to stand in front of their right to participate in the elections. 

"Jerusalem was, is, and will always be the capital of Palestine. Nobody has the right to change Palestine's identity or culture," Al-Badrasawi said. 

He also noted that the conduct of elections in Jerusalem represents a battlefield that we fight the Israeli occupation in.

"When we said Al-Quds Our Destination, we were looking forward to making Jerusalem in the first place," he added.
