Rafat Nassif, a leader in Hamas, confirmed that winning the battle of Sheikh Jarrah will protect Jerusalem and stop the forcibly ethnic cleansing of Jerusalemites from their homes.

"The battle of Shiekh Jarrah establishes a new phase in the field of forced displacement of Jerusalem's families from their homes and systematic demolitions," Nassif said to Safa.

He greeted all Jerusalemites defending Jerusalem and Sheikh Jarrah, and those confronted the Israeli occupation in the heroic clashes that erupted against the Palestinians.

He called for more resistance and patience, and for confronting all attacks against Al-Aqsa mosque.

He also called for launching a comprehensive confrontation with the Israeli occupation in all areas.

"Stopping the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians will only happen by resistance which proved its ability to deter occupation," Nassif said.
