Senior member of Hamas Political Bureau Dr. Maher Salah said that the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank will respond to the Israeli offensive if it continues.

In a press release, Salah pointed out that the resistance’s response is to stop the Israeli occupation’s violations and to halt the implementation of its aggressive schemes in Jerusalem.

“The resistance has forced the Israeli occupation to retreat,” the Hamas official indicated.

Salah noted that the ongoing circumstances that have continued over the past few days showed that the Palestinian factions are united in their battle against the Israeli occupation, describing this unity as the most eloquent message sent to the world.

He added: “We have confirmed that Jerusalem is the core issue, and today we reiterate our unwavering position about our determination to uphold the Palestinian constants and identity.”

The member of Hamas politburo stressed that any aggression against Jerusalem is a direct assault on every Palestinian, confirming: “Such aggression will be met by a fierce response.”

Hailing the steadfastness of Jerusalemites while defending the holy compound, Salah described their battles against the Israeli occupation in Jerusalem throughout the month of Ramadan as “heroic”.

The senior Hamas official also praised the Palestinians across Palestine for their resolve to resist the Israeli occupation and reject normalizing of ties and security collaboration with the Israeli occupation.

Salah extended his thanks and appreciation to all countries, parties, and organizations which announced that they side with the Palestinians and showed solidarity with Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, urging them to for more support for the Palestinians.
