The Israeli police brought hundreds of forces to the streets and alleys of the old city of Jerusalem in case any tense situations erupt during the March of Flags that will start today evening.

Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that the Israeli police enforced the city with forces, lest the security situations deteriorate and clashes erupt again. 

It stated that the Israeli army sent more of its forces to the borders with Gaza in case to stand against any security escalation that might happen in parallel with the march. 

The March of Flags is an annual march the settlers have been organizing in Jerusalem since 1968 until now. 

This march came after the first one that was held on May 10th, which ended with 4 rockets Hamas fired towards Jerusalem.
