Chief of the People's Committee to Confront the Siege, Jamal Al-Khudari, affirmed that the participation of the Gazan weightlifter Muhammad Hamada in the Tokyo Olympics is a "great achievement despite the Israeli siege."
Al-Khudari said in a statement, a copy of which obtained by Safa, that Hamada, 19, from the besieged Gaza represents Palestine in lifting weights, and he carries Palestinian determination despite the harsh conditions.
Al-Khudari wished Hamada, the first Palestinian player to represent Palestine in this field, to achieve distinguished records.
In addition to Hamada, four other Palestinian players from the West Bank and Jerusalem are participating in the Olympics.
