Prisoners close sections in Offer prison and stay in rooms

The Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission reported that the leaders and representatives of the prisoners decided to entirely close Ofer prison in protest of the brutal raids and violence implemented by two Israeli special units in section 16.

It noted that the leaders of prisoners in Ofer prison decided to close all sections, and to stay in their rooms until the Israeli prisons' adminstration stop their violent policies against them.

It informed that the Israeli violations include all aspects of the prisoners' lives in the Israeli prisons, and the Israeli adminstration tries to impose a new systematic plan based on repression and oppression.

"Even the minor prisoners could not escape those brutal policies, as 8 children were beaten and humiliated after they were transferred into Ofer prison," the commission said.

"The Israeli occupation authorities renewed yesterday the adminstrative detention released against the minor Amal Nakhla, who suffers from harsh health conditions," it added.

It also held Ofer's adminstration accountable for the bad conditions inside the prisons.
