Palestine Scholars Association condemns Saudi judicial decisions against Palestinian and Jordanian citizens

The Palestine Scholars Association condemned the Saudi judicial sentences released against dozens of Palestinian and Jordanian detainees.

The association said in a statement Monday that the Saudi sentences released against the Palestinian, Saudi and Jordanian detainees for supporting Hamas and the Palestinian cause were unjust, illegitimate sentences. It also commented that "The leaders of Saudi Arabia and its political authorities hold the complete responsibilities for such sentences. And we, the Palestine Scholars Association, urgently call for releasing those detainees."

It confirmed that the Palestinian work is a great honor that deserves appreciation, not trial and jail. "Those trials are a stain on the Saudi Arabia's regime," it said.

‏It also called on the nation's scholars to announce their disapproving attitudes of those unjust sentences, and to support the detainees by shaping public opinion to constitute pressure on the decision-makers to take the decisions back.

The human rights in the Islamic and Western societies also called for actions to press on the Saudi authorities to go back on those unjust sentences and release the detainees immediately, as well as called on the youths and activists to organize social media campaign to support the detainees until they get released.
