he Head of Jerusalem's Affairs Fadi Al-Hadami reported that the Israeli occupation authorities demolished more than 81 buildings in occupied Jerusalem since the beginning of 2021.
"Escalating the demilition orders increases the risks of evacuating hundreds of Palestinians from their houses where they have been living in since long decades in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and Silwan in favor of Israeli settlers," he added.
He had received Ambassadors and representaives of Latin America in his office in the north of Jerusalem to breif them on the risky situations in the city, particularly amid the increase in the number of houses demolished, and the plans of forced displacement of hundreds of Palestinians from their houses in the Sheikh Jarrah.
He warned of a plan aiming at demolishing dozens of houses in Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silaw.
He also presented to them the possible risks of an Israeli project entitled "Center of Eastern Jerusalem: which targets the most important commercial, cultural and resisdential building in the city,
"The project aims at changing the shape of the city under the pretext of "development", through a series of restirctions and borders.
He noted that the Israeli authorities coontinue its policy of detention in the city, especially detention of children.
