Member of Hamas Political Bureau, Zaher Jabarin, said that Sami Al-Amour is killed with the most horrific crime committed against humanity which is deliberate medical negligence.

"The occupation's crimes record reflects the systematic policy implemented against the Palestinian detainees in the occupation prisons," Jabareen added.

"Detainee Sami al-Amour's subjection to deliberate medical neglect that led to his death is clear evidence of the occupation’s continued crimes against them especially the sick and hunger strikers," he confirmed.

"We hold the occupation authorities fully responsible for the martyrdom of the detainee Sami al-Amour, and the lives of 700 sick detainees in the occupation prisons. Their continued detention and medical neglect mean their sentence to systematic execution."

Moreover, the movement called for the formation of an international investigation committee to investigate the fatal conditions of the detainees.

"We demand to prosecute the occupation's leaders for these heinous crimes."

"We call on all official bodies; international and human rights institutions to assume responsibility especially for the issue of sick detainees inside the occupation prisons, and work to save their lives."

"We affirm that the valiant Palestinian resistance will fulfill its promise to free the detainees, and will not leave them alone in facing the occupation and the slow death."
