Israeli Forces Target Kamal Adwan Hospital, Wounded Left in the Streets

Marwan El-Hams, Director of Field Hospitals at the Ministry of Health, condemned the Israeli occupation's assault on Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, which aims to make the facility inoperable and force citizens to flee south. He stressed the importance of the health system for the resilience of the Palestinian people in the north, and the occupation’s strategy to dismantle it.

El-Hams expressed sorrow over the situation, with wounded individuals scattered in the streets due to the lack of ambulances to transport them to the hospital. Even those who manage to reach Kamal Adwan Hospital can only receive basic first aid, as the hospital is overwhelmed and lacks the resources to treat more serious injuries.

The Director also revealed that Israeli forces continue to target the area with drones and snipers, preventing citizens from moving. Following a recent incursion, four medical staff members were killed, and an Indonesian medical delegation was forced to evacuate. The hospital now faces a severe shortage of medical staff, with no surgical doctors available, leaving it unable to provide proper care for the wounded.
