'Israeli gov't asked me for anti-boycott law I introduced', a US legislator says

An American parliamentarian in Georgia said that the Israeli consulate had asked her to submit a bill to punish pro-Palestinian movements, including The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement (BDS).

Parliamentarian Deborah Selcox revealed during a state congressional meeting that this action confirms the Israeli government is trying to push US states to pass legislation aimed at punishing pro-Palestinian movements.

It is worth mentioning that 34 US states, including Georgia, adopted in 2016 laws that would deny funding to those who defend the BDS movement.

Furthermore, the American journalist, Abi Martin was prevented from an award granted by America as a result of the Israeli influence on American domestic politics because she refused to sign what she described as the Israeli loyalty oath.
