Northern Gaza Siege Puts 75,000 Palestinian Lives at Risk, WHO Warns

The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced today that the ongoing siege imposed by Israeli forces on northern Gaza for more than 80 days is endangering the lives of 75,000 Palestinians, according to Palestinian media sources.

The WHO expressed shock over the airstrike that targeted Kamal Adwan Hospital, knocking the last remaining major health facility in northern Gaza out of service.

Israeli occupation forces continue their genocidal acts, forced displacement, and starvation against approximately 80,000 Palestinians trapped in the areas of Jabalia, Beit Hanoun, and Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza since October 5. These crimes have led to the deaths of more than 4,000 Palestinians, in addition to 12,000 injuries and 1,750 detainees.

The most recent of these atrocities was the burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital, which left the last operational medical facility in northern Gaza out of service. In another attack, Israeli artillery shelled the upper floor of the Baptist Hospital in eastern Gaza City.
