The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, mourns the Palestinian people and Arab and Islamic nation, Imam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, the Leader of the National Umma Party and Former Sudanese Prime Minister, who passed away today, Wednesday.

Hamas said, in a statement that reached SAFA, that Imam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi died after a life full of struggle and generosity in the service of his homeland and its people, and defending the rights of the Palestinian cause."

"The late Sudanese leader has honorable roles in solidarity with the Palestinian people, active participation in advocating the Palestinian cause in various Arab, Islamic and international stations and forums, and strong and strong rejection of normalization with the Israeli occupation," Hamas added.

Hamas expressed its condolences to the leadership of the National Umma Party, the Sudanese people, and the family of the deceased, his sons, brothers and loved ones, praying for mercy and forgiveness to him.
