Despite an ongoing truce in Gaza, Israeli military operations continue unabated in the occupied West Bank. Witnesses report a large-scale incursion by Israeli forces in the Tubas governorate, particularly in the village of Tammoun, where troops blocked refugee camp entrances, stormed homes, and expelled residents. Drones hovered over the area, intensifying the atmosphere of fear.
On Saturday, Israeli airstrikes in Jenin and Qabatiya killed five Palestinians, including a 16-year-old. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the strikes targeted a vehicle in Qabatiya, killing two men—one of whom had been released during a previous prisoner exchange in November 2023. Shortly after, another drone strike in Jenin killed two young men on a motorcycle.
The governor of Jenin, Kamal Abu al-Rub, described the sequence of attacks, highlighting their systematic nature. Israeli forces claimed these were "anti-terror operations," but the relentless bombardment of Palestinian towns and refugee camps paints a different picture—one of unrelenting military aggression.
As military raids persist, the humanitarian toll continues to rise. With each assault, the fragile hopes for peace in the region grow ever more distant.
