Iran Warns of Potential Genocide in Occupied West Bank, Similar to Gaza

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has urged the international community to prevent Israel from repeating the genocide it perpetrated in Gaza, now targeting the occupied West Bank. “Despite the ceasefire in Gaza, Israel continues its crimes in the West Bank. As human rights rapporteurs warn, genocide appears to be repeating there,” stated spokesperson Esmaïl Baghaï. He called for “serious action” to stop these crimes and emphasized that Israeli leaders must be held accountable.

Baghaï also condemned Western support for Israel, including arms supplies, and endorsed the newly formed “Hague Group,” a coalition of nations aiming to end Israeli impunity and occupation. The group seeks to prevent weapons from reaching Israel and to address its violations of international law.

Regarding U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal to relocate Gazans, Baghaï stressed, “Only Palestinians have the right to decide Gaza’s future.” Trump’s plan, which suggested moving Gazans to Jordan and Egypt, faced widespread condemnation, with critics warning it undermines the two-state solution. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Jordan’s King Abdullah II both rejected any forced displacement of Palestinians.
