174 Palestinian Detainees Since the Start of Israeli Aggression on Jenin and Tubas

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported that the Israeli occupation has arrested and detained 174 Palestinians from the Jenin and Tubas governorates in the northern West Bank since the beginning of the "Iron Wall" aggression on these areas.

In a statement on Thursday, the club clarified that the number of detainees and those subjected to detention in Jenin and its refugee camp over 17 days of the aggression is no less than 120. In the Tubas governorate, 54 people were arrested, most of them from the town of Tammun.

The club also noted that dozens of citizens in both governorates were subjected to field interrogation, and the majority of detainees faced brutal beatings and systematic abuse.

The occupation forces have continued their aggression on the governorates of Jenin, Tulkarm, and Tubas for more than two weeks, leaving 29 martyrs, dozens of injuries, arrests, house demolitions, forced displacement, and widespread destruction of property and infrastructure.

Since the beginning of the aggression, the occupation has imposed arbitrary measures at its military checkpoints near most of the entrances and exits of these governorates in the West Bank, closing most of the gates of villages and towns in an attempt to escalate tensions and create a violent state of chaos, in preparation for annexing the West Bank.

This has been reflected in the brutal attacks carried out by terrorist settler gangs against citizens, their towns, properties, homes, lands, and holy sites.
