Palestinian Father of Seven Dies After Being Wounded and Detained by Israeli Forces in Tubas Raid

The Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club have mourned the death of 47-year-old Firas Sobh from Tubas, who succumbed to his injuries after being detained by Israeli forces during a violent pre-dawn raid on the Far'a refugee camp.

Sobh, a father of seven, was wounded during the incursion and later died in custody, in what Palestinian institutions have denounced as a deliberate crime. His death adds to a growing list of casualties resulting from Israel’s decades-long occupation and its escalating aggression, particularly amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the intensifying clampdown on Palestinians across all territories.

The Authority and the Club condemned the killing, placing full responsibility on the Israeli occupation and accusing it of systematically targeting Palestinian detainees. They also renewed urgent calls for the international community and human rights bodies to move beyond statements and take tangible action to hold Israeli leaders accountable for persistent war crimes and crimes against humanity. In the face of deepening suffering, the silence of global institutions continues to fuel a cycle of impunity.
