Oxfam International: Aid to Gaza Inadequate Amid Ongoing Genocidal War

Oxfam International has reported that the humanitarian aid reaching Gaza is inadequate to meet the dire needs of its population, which has been severely impacted by over 15 months of genocidal conflict. The organization stressed that clean drinking water remains the top priority, as most of Gaza’s water infrastructure has been destroyed, leaving citizens without access to this basic necessity.

In addition to the water crisis, Oxfam highlighted the catastrophic state of Gaza's healthcare system. With more than 100,000 injured, the destruction of medical facilities and a severe shortage of medical supplies have left many without treatment, exacerbating the already dire conditions. The healthcare system’s collapse calls for an urgent increase in aid and resources.

Oxfam also emphasized the shortage of tents and caravans, which has worsened the suffering of displaced Palestinians during the current cold front. Overcrowded shelters are unable to accommodate the growing number of refugees, further stretching the already limited resources. The organization has called on the international community to take immediate action to address these shortages and alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
