A Palestinian child was martyred on Monday after succumbing to injuries sustained in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Qabatiya in the city of Jenin, in the occupied West Bank.
The Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of 15-year-old Diya’ al-Din Ahmad Omar Saba’neh, who succumbed to critical wounds inflicted by the Israeli strike on Qabatiya nearly two weeks ago.
In a related development, Israeli occupation forces have reinforced their presence in Jenin and its refugee camp, continuing their raid on the camp for the 28th consecutive day. This comes amid the deployment of military reinforcements, drone surveillance, and ongoing incursions into the city and its refugee camp.
The invasion has resulted in widespread destruction of infrastructure, the demolition and sabotage of Palestinian homes, and the forced displacement of thousands of Palestinians. Israeli forces have turned many homes into military barracks and surveillance posts.
Last night, Israeli forces pursued Palestinian vehicles, opening fire on them, arresting several Palestinians, and subjecting them to field interrogations in the city center.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation continues its military operations in Tulkarm for the 22nd consecutive day.
