Israeli Foreign Minister Gidon Sa'ar faces a legal challenge as the Hind Rajab Foundation officially submits a complaint to the International Criminal Court (ICC), demanding an arrest warrant for his alleged involvement in war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
The complaint, grounded in the Rome Statute, accuses Sa'ar of shaping policies that led to mass displacement, collective punishment, and systematic attacks on Palestinian civilians. His role in enforcing a devastating blockade, which has crippled Gaza’s infrastructure and plunged its people into famine, is central to the allegations.
With Sa'ar expected in Brussels on February 18, the foundation is urging Belgian authorities to uphold international law and ensure he is held accountable. The case follows the foundation’s previous efforts to prosecute Israeli military figures for genocide and war crimes in Gaza, adding to growing legal pressure on Israel’s leadership.
