Jordan: Protesters Condemn Trump’s Gaza Plan

Jordanians rallied in Amman and other cities to denounce US President Donald Trump’s plan to forcibly displace Palestinians from Gaza. Following Friday prayers, protesters marched from Al-Husseini Mosque to Al-Nakhil Square, chanting, “No to displacement… Gaza, your people are strong despite the pain and siege.”

Organized by the Islamic Movement, national forces, and political parties, the demonstrations emphasized Jordan’s unwavering support for Gaza. Protesters rejected Trump’s proposal to relocate Gazans to neighboring countries, declaring, “No to alternative homelands, no to displacement.”

Slogans also condemned US support for Israeli occupation, with chants like, “America is the head of the snake,” and, “Gaza has defeated the occupation.” Protesters reaffirmed their backing for Palestinian resistance in Gaza and the West Bank, vowing to thwart Zionist and Western conspiracies.

Trump’s plan, unveiled in February, has faced global condemnation. Palestinians and regional leaders have rejected it as a “declaration of war,” while Jordanians continue to stand in solidarity with Gaza amid ongoing hardships.
