Human Rights Center: Urgent International Action Needed to Recover Bodies in Gaza

The Palestinian Center for the Missing expressed concern over Israel’s obstruction of necessary equipment to retrieve bodies of thousands of victims trapped under rubble in Gaza.

The center urged international institutions to pressure Israel to allow immediate entry of heavy machinery.

Israel’s closure of crossings on March 2, 2025, and the prevention of aid has worsened the crisis, with only nine bulldozers allowed entry, despite agreements for 100.

Gaza requires at least 500 machines, and attempts to purchase or rent them externally have been blocked.

Despite limited resources, Palestinian teams have recovered 750 bodies, with over 8,000 still trapped under the rubble.
