The Special Committee in the Parliamentary Change and Reform Bloc to support the health sector called on today the heads of parliaments in Arab and Islamic countries to save the health situation in the Gaza Strip from the threat of the outbreak of the Corona pandemic. This threatens the right of about two million Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The head of the Change and Reform Bloc, Mahmoud Al-Zahhar, confirmed, in a statement received by SAFA, that the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip 14 years ago against nearly two million Palestinian people had disastrous effects on various aspects of life, especially on the health sector.

He pointed out that the Gaza Strip suffers from deteriorating health conditions in light of a suffocating crisis due to the lack of medicinal ingredients, medical equipment, prevention supplies, laboratory tests and ventilators, necessary to combat the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid 19), which threatens the outbreak of this pandemic.

Al-Zahar called on parliaments and parliamentary unions to take their humanitarian responsibilities and urgently save the health situation in the Gaza Strip, calling for immediate action to provide the basic health needs to the Gaza Strip.
