Gaza Media Office: Israeli Blockade Worsens Humanitarian Crisis

The Gaza Government Media Office has condemned Israel’s total closure of Gaza’s crossings, calling it a violation of international laws that deepens the humanitarian catastrophe. The blockade has cut off fuel and cooking gas supplies, forcing bakeries to shut down and threatening food security for over 2.4 million Palestinians already suffering under war and siege.

The office warned that the blockade has paralyzed transportation, hindered access to hospitals, and deprived thousands of workers from reaching their jobs, turning Gaza into an "open-air prison." It accused Israel of systematically targeting Palestinian lives to break their will, but stressed that such efforts would fail.

The office urged the international community to pressure Israel to open crossings immediately, warning of an unprecedented humanitarian disaster. "Our people cannot endure starvation and suffering. The world must act to end this ongoing crime," it concluded.
