As Israel struggles to achieve its military goals in Gaza, it has turned to blockades, starvation, and cutting basic services. Despite over 500 days of such tactics, they have failed to break Palestinian resistance or weaken Gaza’s resilience.
For 13 consecutive days, Israel has closed Gaza’s crossings, blocking aid and fuel essential for over two million Palestinians. This move is seen as an attempt to use starvation to pressure the resistance into accepting Israeli demands.
Military expert Nidal Abu Zeid argues that Israel’s reliance on siege and starvation highlights its inability to return to conventional strategies. "These methods have not worked," he says. "The Palestinian people remain steadfast."
Hebrew media also questions Israel’s readiness for further military action, citing exhaustion and skepticism among soldiers. Meanwhile, expert Issam Malkawi emphasizes that starvation policies fail against Palestinians, whose spirit remains unbroken despite severe hardships.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s campaign has forced Palestinians to consume animal feed and grass due to aid restrictions. Yet, Gaza’s resilience endures.
Israel’s use of starvation reflects its broader failure to impose a solution. As global scrutiny grows, Palestinian determination stands as a testament to their unwavering pursuit of justice and freedom.
